Got a kit of 2x4 1866 Mushkin Redlines, and dying to see how they actually perform.

Now there's a feeling I'm quite familiar with (I'm also waiting for my new board and CPU, but I've got the RAM so far).. However, in my opinion, my Corsair Vengeance is prettier.... Hehe.

They are all pretty. Not too long ago remember RAM was a sick green PCB with black chicklets on it.
These G.Skill Snipers look badass too. They all look like they'd be painfull pushing them into the slots with the sharp corners on the heat spreaders.

debgram1, I'm not a ram expert, but that seems to be a good score for your setup. It looks about like I would expect it to. Good job and a nice score.

Why is mine so low?

Yeah, I agree with Essenbe... That is actually a pretty decent score. From what I've seen, 1600MHz RAM generally gets between 15000 and 20000 MB/s, less than 15k is on the slow side, over 20k is definitely considered to be on the fast side..

Thanks. I did have it 7-8-7-24 2T but then I added 4 more gigs of RAM and it wouldn't let me have the 7's. The pc would keep starting and restarting, it wouldn't boot up.
