What's your memory assessment speed?

Kingston HyperX+Kingston ValueRam DDR2 5-5-5-15 1.8V (I set them manually in bios CL5-800MHz for compatibility reasons)

I think compared with yours tests mine are very low. Nevermind though,now i have 8GB and a bit faster ram

Unsurprisingly, Winsat mem doesn't show much difference between stock and OCed - although the RAM was untouched.

Nope, none needed unless you are having crashes.

I was hesitant to post mine because of all these awesome DDR3 scores.... You guys are making me jealous, and I really want my new motherboard and CPU now! Sitting staring at this Vengeance kit in it's box is driving me nuts..

But anyway, I don't think my current RAM is actually too bad considering it's only DDR2-800. I wonder why WinSAT shows higher though... Interesting....

I haven't been keeping up with scores and was surprised it blew my triple channel score away. Yay for higher bandwidth

It'll be interesting to see what it can really do if/when I have a fiddle with it.

That's pretty good for DDR2


And Winsat is... Winsat. I could gain 8,000+MB just by disabling HT on my 1366 system. Nothing else reflected the change (aside from a 1 ns latency drop) - only Winsat :huh:

The MaxxMem numbers are far more important (and accurate) than Winsat.

Haha... Yeah, I do have to agree with you there. After all, this is Microsoft we're talking about. But in all honestly, I have seen many discrepancies between memory benchmark apps and WinSAT for RAM, CPU and HDD scores. Not major ones, but pretty notable differences.

Medium-ish for you setup I'd say , considering you aren't overclocking and have two different sets of modules installed.

Although, bandwidth scores aside, 83.6ns isn't great to be honest. I'd say that the sub-timings of the value ram would be dragging the Hyper X capabilities (and overall performance) down.

However, if your PC's stable now, tweaking and fiddling may net you some improvements at the risk of introducing instability.

I'd say call it a day and enjoy your 8GB
