I'm sure I could have got a higher memory score if it was running at 2000MHz like its souposed to (running at 1700MHz when the test was done).

Welcome to Seven Forums Saif. Great numbers. You can change the Ram multiplier along with your CPU overclock , but not sure you can run the Ram at 2000MHz without voltage changes. A Guy

When I use the recommended settings from g.skill (the company the RAM is from), my RAM is at 2000MHz no problem. However my CPU frequency goes down to stock speed (3.8GHz).

When I have my CPU at 4.2GHz, my RAM doesn't want to go over 1700MHz.

I'm still trying to find out what settings can get my RAM running at 2000Mhz while my CPU still runs at 4.2GHz

Any suggestions or recommended place to go to?

What are your settings now? What BCLK, Multiplier for CPU and RAM. Have you adjusted voltages? Just basically you need to set you Ram multiplier to match your BCLK, but that is way to simplified, especially at such a CPU overclock.

If your board has a 10x (5x) RAM multi, and you set your BCLK to 200MHz, you can get 2000MHz, your CPU multi at 21x for 4.2GHz. But at those speeds would it be stable, what voltages would you need. I'm not even close to an expert, but it's relatively possible. A Guy

My score seems higher than normal, for being just 1066mhz memory.. My old system was 800mhz DDR2 dual channel, and it only scored 5,900mb/s. Also my notebook, which is an i3 330m with 4GB DDR3 1600mhz scores just 6,200mb/s.

I've gotta assume it's HyperTransport 3.0 that's enabling the score, it just seems too high for the speed compared to other systems.

That score is average for your system (meaning just fine), I'd be looking into the possible problem with your notebook.
