How long does it do this before seeing the drives?

Using the tutorial below, double check to make sure that you have the Turn off hard disk after power plan option set to Never to prevent having a load delay when you open Computer. If this is the issue, then the delay is from waiting on the HDD to be turned back on and spin back up to full speed.
