I would say nay on bitdefender 2010, Kaspersky and NOD32 are good. so is microsoft security essentials, and avast.

I prefer Eset, but not NOD32, rather their eset smart security. Its NOD32 with a built in firewall. The firewall is much better than win 7's built in, and NOD is so good and so problem free I often dont even think about AV.

Good luck and hope this helps

Ken

You will probably get as many opinions as you get answers. And there are many different "charts" - it depends where you look. I think all the major programs work fine. I use Kaspersky on Win7 and one Vista system and Norton IS on 3 other Vista systems. Never had a problem up to now - but that may be just the way I work.

Norton products don't work in 7, my Norton 360 failed when I had it. However, I had the 32-bit, and I've heard rumors that this isn't true in the 64-bit version.

Norton 2009 and 2010 now work with Windows 7! 2009 products had a update so they work and 2010 worked right out of the box! Both are very good!

I have installed Eset Nod32 together with Microsoft Security Essential... Both work charmingly together although I noticed that ESET will always detect viruses or potential threats faster than MS Security Essential.... :D

Anyway... I am happy...

2 antivirus programs working together

if ESET is quicker to detect, why even have MS SE?
