Which one do you guys recommend?

I have my desktops on a roller cart on the carpet. They allow you to roll them out easily for maintenance but the key feature is that they raise the computer off the floor which lowers the amount of dust they inhale. Also presents the optical and readers for easier access as mine tilts the rig back. Added bonus if your PSU is on the bottom as it now get's cool air into the intake.

I have something to the same effect i took a fruit box put a wood panel in it and sat the unit on top of it even though it is in a box on the floor with wood up under it i feel a little more safer

Im scared of me and wife also daughter walking on carpet touching the unit and everything gets zapped

only reason why i have it that way but if they say the carpet is fine go for it i dont see why not you would be killing the unit more being ina small place dust clogging fans no airflow

But if you must, NEVER use the brush attachment. It WILL kill components.

linnemeyerhere, sounds like you've got an ideal setup. Lots of air around the tower, but on a roller cart, so it's not directly on the carpet.

I know that dust is a huge problem too, and for me also. I have a small "keyboard" vacuum which I use about once a month or so. It doesn't have a lot of suction power, so I always wonder whether it is sucking enough air (I vacuum the topside and all of the vents underneath, and all of the slots wherever they are). Hopefully, because it is designed specifically for computers, there isn't a static charge problem What do you guys think? Do these computer vacuums have the same risks as regular vacuums?

I made my choice of keeping it on the floor and using a vacum to clean it out. I think it fits me the best and ya. Thanks

I remember when i cleaned my computer which was like 1-2 years ago, i cleaned it with a vaccum and it went fine and nothing went wrong. So im wondering why you guys are saying its bad. I did it on carpet and i did it with a vaccum :/

vacuums create static electricity. static electricity + computer components = doorstop.

This is my stand and it's adjustable and I picked up two of these for $12.50 each. Lots of styles available, this one I like because of the tilt back adjustment. On my case it doesn't block air flow in the side opening and the bottom mounted PSU breaths fresh cool air.

I remember a thread where User couldn't figure out why his computer wouldn't start after using metal vacuum attachments to go over his mobo. It is not something you easily forget.

He had not been warned beforehand. We are doing that now.
