Who's looking at my files/folders

Hello I currently work for a company and we have a shared drive. We are running windows 7 enterprise. I have a folder I use to store all of my projects. Is there any way to know who's accessing that folder or can you only tell who's accessing each individual file in the folder? Also is there a max history/timeframe that it allows you to go back and check? Any help would be appreciated.

It is likely in a business that all access to shared resources will be controlled by the System Administrator or IT department, (depending on size/structure of the business).

Because of this I would suggest you make a request to the person responsible for access to the shared drive, as to what information is already available and if and how you can access this data.

If you are the person responsible for this drive then you will understand why I suggest this check , and you will then need to decide if you wish to use the method outlined above, for a local device, or use Server tools for remote server based storage
