Also, they shouldn't be defragged because they don't NEED to be defragged They are crazy fast!

You won't be sorry. Next time you open a program count the seconds from your mouse click until the program opens. With a SSD, it is less than one second.

To put it in layperson terms. Defragging a hard drive put thing a nice order so the system can find things faster. You have mechanical arm and disc moving around trying to find what it has been ask to find. If things are in order it's quicker. A SSD is electronic. No moving parts. A SSD doesn't care where things are or what order they are in. It just finds what it is requested to find instantly. Defragging is a process of reads and wrights. Unneeded reads and wrights could shorten the life of a SSD. As far as I know it would not improve the performance of a SSD. I know of no manufacture of SSD's that recommends defragging of a SSD.

Yes all programs open right now. Don't worry about fragmentation on a SSD. Don't worry about defragging on a SSD. Just use your SSD and be happy. If by chance you want a little more info just Google Trim.

Takes me 4 seconds to open Photoshop CS3, with an SSD.

I don't game, but as I understand it, SSDs don't help gaming performance. Your games WILL load faster if on the SSD, but not perform better once loaded.
