Hi,

I have a folder where I have saved jpeg images from my camera.

I select a number of these images and burn them to a blank cd

The burn process starts, it takes quite a while to complete and as
each image is burned you can see it along with its size.

At the end of the burn I 'close the session' and have a cd with the
images in it. I can use windows explorer to open the cd, click on any
of the burned images and they show up windows photo viewer

I eject the cd and reinsert it - the cd is blank??? there is nothing on
it??? If I try to burn data to it again it keeps getting ejected with the
message 'insert a blank cd'

whats happening?

thanks for your replies...

Jerome

I can tell you right now the images burned to the cd

If you want to view them on anything else but a computer you need a imaging program like nero or photo imaging program to format it on other type of devices dvd players etc.......

you just happen to grab images to do a fast write that's all nothing wrong with your burner just need a program to show on other devices

I think the problem might be different.

When he/she re-inserts the cd, he does not get an error message from the cd player. The cd is blank. For the OP to know that.... the cd player must have done something...

Maybe a long shot but... could it be you use Windows Explorer to burn?
Could it be that you selected many foto's, chose to burn those, put in a cd (or one was in already) and actually all that happened and took some time.. is that Explorer gathered the files and "made them ready to burn".

Did you actually choose (after making ready) to really "burn on Disc" and see the disc light burn / flicker for the duration of the burn time?

Or are the pic's still ready and waiting to be burned in Explorer?

What happens if you put in a new blank cd? Does a window pop up that offers to burn to cd the pic's/files that are still waiting?

Again, just guessing, I have seen people miss this but have no idea how well into W7 you are so please don't feel insulted if you already know all this...:D
