My mom's friend brought over her laptop and said "All of a sudden the WiFi stopped working". So I turned it on and I looked at the device manager. It said it was working fine and that no new software was needed. Then I checked to see if the laptop had a switch to turn the WiFi off, but it didn't. I looked more through it and I am very confused. All it says is that there is no networks available. It's a gateway from best buy running Windows Vista (Sorry for coming here I do know the website is windows 7). The Model Number is: MD7818u

New issue. It doesn't want to boot at all for some odd reason!

Edit: Trying to let Startup Repair fix it, but I doubt it will help

Edit: Ok so now when I boot it there is a black screen with the mouse and it's stuck there (even in safe mode). Are there any suggestions on what to do now?
