Will I lose....

Email and contacts if I uninstall Windows Live Essentials (2011) and then reinstall Windows Live Essentials (2012)? Live Mail is extremely slow and when I try to repair it I get a message that there's a problem with one or more Live program

Thanks...I think. I just downloaded Live Mail 12 and it took twice as along to open as did 11. Likewise once it opened it crashed the first four or five times I clicked on anything. I am at a loss as to how Microsoft ever came up with something so bad. Windows Mail was simple, easy to use and never crashed. Since then it's been all down hill. JMO.

What security programs do you have installed.

Norton 360. Have used Norton for some time but never had problems with other email programs. Live mail is an abomination, and it seems that I am not alone in this thinking..

I have never had trouble with WLM except version 2011 which had many bugs.
All I can suggest is, remove all Windows Essentials, reboot, then disable Norton till WLM is installed & tested. Re test with Norton re activated.
