I am trying to install Win 7 64 bit on a second partition, the first is 32bit win 7.

The issue I am having is at the drivers window, the installation is asking for drivers but nothing is coming up in the box, it is blank. So I cant select any drivers to get past the screen.

Any help please, has anyone else had the issue of being asked for drivers but a blank screen?

Thanks

Do you mean you are being asked for drivers during the install ?

If so are you using a raid setup ? generally you only need drivers for raid as win 7 is pretty much driver complete except raid drivers and usb 3

I tried both OS disk, the same problem.

My mobo is abit, I understand the comapny went bust, I brought an IP35 mobo, where can I find drivers.

The first sent I downloaded just have raid drivers in and IDE drivers.

It seems unsafe to download, where is a reliable download source.

Thanks,

Neil.

I have found Jmicron sata drivers but they wont install (v1171902) for Win 7, although googling for the mobo, others seems to have got win7 onto an IP35 mobo

You shouldn't have to install SATA drivers for Win7 as they are all in the installer. So the issue is likely still with your installer, and has been in every one of these cases I've seen.

Try writing a new ISO for your licensed version to flash stick, boot using the one-time BIOS Boot Menu key after setting HDD first to boot in BIOS setup.

If it fails try defining an Active partition as shown in Step 2.2 of SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

I just burn an iso to my flash stick and boot from there?

because a macro that worked on excel 2003 did not run on 64bit Hence 32bit, so now I am installing on another partition a clean install, as I have reworked the macro for excel 2010.

The latest official ISO and tool to burn to DVD or write to flash stick is provided there.

I am running the above tool and at the end it said I have created the boot usd flash drive.

When I goto the advanced options in the bios setup menu I see 3 options to place into position 1 for the boot up option.

Not of the allow me to boot from the start up, no message like boot for USB, it just runs straight through.

How do I boot from the flash usb? Am I missing something?

Thanks

Sometimes setting USB flash stick first to boot in BIOS setup will cause it to autostart the install again after the restarts required during install. To resolve this set HDD first to boot in BIOS setup, then trigger the flash sticking using one-time BIOS Boot order menu key given on first screen.

If that is not feasible unplug the flash stick during the installation reboots.
