Win 7 "Installed Key" Identical on all PCs

Got a number of 1 year old HP office PCs from a closed call center. The units were reset back to factory by some local IT guy by the seller. They have Win 7 pro on them. They all have a different OEM key for Win 8.1.

Is it normal to have all the PCs have the same "Installed Key" which I assume is for the Win 7 OS?

What I have seen is that, despite different COA key, the installed key is the same.

What I understand is that the computers came with Win 8.1 Pro and it was downgraded to Win 7 pro. Is it right?

I don't know how the machines got Win 7. I assume since they had a Win 8.1 OEM key someone downgraded them. If I have to reload Win 7 pro what key would I use???

Hi Busaboyz,
if you run this tool
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=52012

you will be able to tell if the keys gonna come back Genuine for a W7 install.

LOOK AT LINE 7 first -- windows product id type
if its >> 2 <<
then the lines above it will read
74T2M-DKDBC-788W3-H689G-6P6GT -- product key
XXXXX-OEM-8992671-00008 -- product ID

THE ABOVE ARE LOADED ON THE COMPUTER AT THE FACTORY
and are used on every HP W7 PRO.
Which is what you are seeing
The COA (sticker) code is unique to every computer. -- basically a spare key
note W8 computers only have a small hologram sticker on them

So if it was originally shipped with W8 -- NO COA sticker

if you post te results of one of them i will be supply more detail.
As they were reset by the same IT guy ALL the reports should be identical

There is no sensitive detail on them so just post it.

Roy

Rearm is 1, 2 have allready been used, oem's come with 3

As you have no COA sticker, (ALL W7 OEM comps should have one), this MAY turn into a problem.

Its not critical, as its showing both licenced/activated and registered
Happy surfing
