Win 7 Reactivation Question

Hi,

I have the three license Family Pack version of Win 7 Home Premium. It's a retail copy. I've used all three licenses. I'm planning hardware upgrades on one of those machines, including a new motherboard. In addition, because I'm doubling the RAM from 2GB to 4GB, I'd like to go to the 64-bit version of Win 7 instead of the 32-bit version currently installed.

My question is if I use the 64-bit disc that came in the pack, will I be able to reactivate Win 7? Or does the fact that the hardware upgrades include a new motherboard mean that a new version of Win 7 is required? I'd save $100 if I didn't have to buy a new copy.

I've searched but haven't been able to find an answer to this exact scenario. I hope I've posted to the right forum. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

it will work,

Legally you are still only using the 3 licences if you upgrade, if any hard disks are removed windows7 should be removed (format) from them and if a whole system is being replaced you can keep your licence as long as you remove the OS from the old system before getting rid of it or smashing it or storing it or whatever.

You will not have a problem, it is retail version and not subject to being locked to any one system. Just has to be removed form one and moved (activated) on new.

There is no process of removing it from old, just format that drive as stated above.
Activating on a 4th system will effectively deactivate the old one.
