Personally, I'm not much of a fan of diskpart (I think I have used it once, in however many years) so I'll let Greg take over those questions :devil:
As far as the 'System Reserved' partition is concerned, Windows will generally take over that option itselfand create the required partition by default, unless you have already created and formatted partitions filling the whole drive.
You shouldn't need to worry about it.
...as for what it does, it's the 'bootstrap', by which Windows knows where the Operating system you want to use is installed, and gets the OS kickstarted. hopefully you'll never need to know more than that![]()
