win7 and adobe flash

I have tried unsuccessfully to get adobe flash to work on this new installation. Any suggestions?

I have never had this problem with W7... what version are you using??

I am using Firefox and the 7100 version of Windows 7.

I find that I can access adobe items by using Windows but not Firefox.

you need to download and run a different flash plugin installer for firefox. the internet explorer version will not work in firefox.

what happens when you go to a flash website when you are using firefox? do you not see a link telling you to download flash?

Are you using the 64 bit version of 7? I am and found that if I open the 64 bit version of IE8 and try to download flash player, I get an error, it seems Adobe flash player doesn't support it.

Its no problem if I open up IE8 32 bit and then download flash player.

There is no 64-bit version of Adobe Flash, so any 64-bit browser is basically worthless in todays WWW, where a lot of sites are based on Flash.

Adobe says that they are working on a Windows 64-bit version, but they are no ETA yet.
