Hi, new here, hope you can help. I've got a desk top with two hard drives, dual boot, Win7 ultimate X64 on one and XP on the other. Over the last couple of months the Win7 has started to CDT quite a lot but not every day. Sometimes I get a blue screen but not always. Everything just stops for a few seconds and then either blue screens or reboots. Ive done a SFC scannow but that has not helped and I always get a window with windows offering to help but nothing happens if I ask for it. I've been told it's probably a hardware issue but I don't know how to check the hardware. A couple of clues might be that it usually happens while I'm on the net but not always, and if I get a blue screen with the warnings on after a few seconds the screen goes lots of different colours. It does not happen when I boot into XP. Help please, thanks.
