Local telco cable modem with netgear router
I have multiple os on this computer, xp-32bit, win7-64bit, win10-32bit,etc.
This problem only affects win7-internet conn is fine in xp & win10 so pretty sure problem with win7 config, or losing its config.
win7 keeps losing the internet conn.
I restored recent backup & conn was ok-rebooted & conn gone.
I've since done this 3 or 4 times & get same result:
internet conn ok immediately after bu restored but goes away as soon as I reboot back into win7.

Hi dblake2,

Did you try using the built in network troubleshooter?
If you can connect via Ethernet/wired, can you reboot & access internet?

the troubleshooter was no help.
I got it back by restoring an older (2 weeks) backup.
so far its been good thru 5 reboots.
I did disable most of the adv system care cleanup stuff which is my best guess of the culprit.
