Hi guys,

I installed windows 7 a month ago (now got rid of it). And I got a strange problem when playing games.

I installed drivers from WIndows 7 updating system, acer site and from laptopvideo2go. but they all failed for me. (I could install them, but same problem)

The problem is : When I play games I get a strange feeling on my screen, like it's not smooth, some sort of fps drops but not that much.

In Trackmania I get heavy fps drops and stuttering with vsync off, with vsync on the fps drops are gone but still stuttering

In Call of Duty 4 I get strange fps drops every 20 seconds.

My laptop : Acer Aspire 7520G

I hope you can help me,
Rob

it has to be driver compatibility because there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with the gfx card physicaly since its working in vista

So you think I installed the wrong drivers or not for windows 7 modified yet?

could have been . the drivers I gave you the link to should work
sometimes its hard to understand which drivers to use because of all the different types
a clean install should do the trick but the best bet is to wait for a while until all the correct drivers are prpgrammed and out for windows 7

And do you maybe know when those will be released?

not sure but the ones I gave you a link to should work
try creating a virtual machine with vmware player and install them

Doesn't Windows 7 goes very slow then? Cause it's in a vm?

nope if u have the iso on your desktop . it depends on hdd speeds or cd rom speeds if your going to be using the disk . You could always down a lite version of windows 7 from a bit torrent and its only 700 mb
