If this problem started in the last couple of days, it's likely the result of a botched update from MS

Uninstall update KB3004394

reboot twice, and then post a new MGADiag report

I have a client (that I am about to lose) who would like to have his project completed and there are other issues caused by your dec win updates that I cannot pursue until this unnecessary issue is resolved.

FYI, Sevenforums is in no way affiliated with Microsoft. We do not issue any updates. You can complain directly to Microsoft if you'd like though. :geek:

already have Even threatened them with the Oregon AG. ahhahahaha No, really.....threatened them with the OR AG. Sorry for the rash assumption. The DecWinUpdates took out my MBR & linux grub and none of the usual fixes are working to restore linux, which is where I need to be to finish this contract. Yes, am quite anxious over this. Thanks for the fast first response though. gt

The WGA problem appears to have been resolved.

As for your other problems, I haven't had enough details to even guesss at a solution.

whadya, working overtime? ha Shall I reinstall KB3004394 or hide that update? May be back on the bootloader issue if jumping thru over 30 hoops tonight doesn't resolve. Couldn't even mount linux from the liveCD. Gparted is giving me partition outside disk now on my win7 bootpart C: but just ran chkdsk /r and no problems. Pretty pissed at our favorite fake-humanitarian who has put MS Marketing in control. ha This issue closed after a yes or no on the reinstall-update question but the bootloader issue is probably best provided to the opensource folks. Thanks Noel, and in advance of answer. gt

Just performed a manual winupdate and indicated up to date. Shall I restore to before I uninstalled KB3004394? From what MS said in the bulletin provided after I looked, that would be the course of action.

Hopefully, if you go to Windows Update now and do a Check for Updates, you'll be offered either the updated patch or the new one
I haven't had time to test anything at all on this, as I've been too busy firefighting :(

I can imagine....I remember and wish I couldn't. So will try to restore as I already ran update and there was nothing for me even after the update uninstall. If restore doesn't work, will just have to restore from an older image....and hope that freakin works. Upside down times, huh. Just ev-er-ry-thing. Like the senate just passed the funding bill that puts over $2 quadrillion in bankster derivitave fraud on our tab. That'll make us slaves for like at least a hundred generations. Look up austerity. It's supposed to be voluntary. U--S--S--A--Chi-na-fy (my first rap tune chorus and I hate rap). Hey, you don't forget to sleep cause you might forget to breathe. haha THanks, and this unnecessary (man I hate that word now) thread is closed. gt
