Hello Everyone
I have Sound Plaster PCIe Xtreme Audio sound card integrated with MSI P6N Diamond motherboard and I installed all of its latest drivers but It seems I can't make Mic work
Win7 detects Speakers only which is working just fine but it doesn't detect my Mic
I also changed the FlexiJack Mode to Microphone but still my mic isn't working
I'm using Headphones (Gamecom Headphones which is working just fine without any problem)
What should I do to make Mic works?

is your mic a part of a camara or the headphones?

Stupid question maybe, but could they be broken?

Did you install ALL your graphics card drivers (including audio from the graphic card's manufacturer's website) and your motherboard driver for audio (perhaps from the motherboard's manufacturer's website)?

I'll need you to do this: Fill out your system specs (this tool may help you out a great deal).

Let me know what you have done in your next post. There are also windows and audio driver settings that you can change, and perhaps its just not enabled. I'll tell you more after you get back to me with the above information

I have a Gameconn headset as well and the option for the microphone can sometimes for whatever reason be disabled by software such as Skype. Which software are you using the mic for, i.e. Steam, Skype, Vent etc from this we will be able to track down wether they can pick your mic up which will then point us towards a hardware or software relatred problem. Thank you :)

first its a spelling mistake, no big deal

and secondly have you tried both microphone jacks on your PC or do you only have the front one?

From microsoft:

After you've plugged a microphone into a microphone jack on your computer and turned it on (if the microphone has an on button), follow these steps.

  1. Open Sound by clicking the Start button
    4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_818.jpg
, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type sound, and then click Sound.
  2. Click the Recording tab, click Microphone, and then click Properties.
  3. Click the Levels tab and make sure the Mute button looks like this
    6b62e2ae-431c-4fb5-8905-aaaea5b445a4_51.jpg
. If the button looks like this
    0f47efa2-ffcc-466d-a723-bd0ce4640578_42.jpg
, click it to turn on sound for this connection, and then click Apply.
(Optional) To listen to microphone sounds through your speakers or headphones, click the Listen tab, click the Listen to this device check box, and then click OK.

And back to me:
Now when you make a loud noise, can you see the green bar light up (I think you should see it on the general tab)? Let me know if you need me to clarify

Can anyone tell me ? :(

run this command in cmd prompt: "sfc /scannow" (without quotes). try a repair install: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html

Other than that, I only have conventional ways for trying to solve common sound issues. for any further (deeper) information, someone else would have to help you

Found this tutorial: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html. Follow the tutorial COMPLETELY and to the letter.

I will help you out further on this^ soon as you follow directions and let me know what you come up with^

This website is for me, but you can check it out. Its more troubleshooting to help us: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

Alright, the FP makes sense being front panel. I'm getting old, too hard to remember all these things. So both aren't working. Have the ports worked in the past with another microphone (and can you try another mic now)?

Does your mic and headphone set only have a single plug or multiple, and have you tried different ports?

I don't recall you mentioning that you upgraded o.0

This will tell you if you are able to run WIN 7. Don't just give up when you encounter a problem. Especially when there are less than 15 posts in this thread! :D
Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor - Download - Microsoft Windows

Comparable to Win 7, xp is horrible. Win 7 is much better at fixing issues, but perhaps you are right when you say your hardware may not be compatable with Win 7. Have you downloaded all drivers?

Thank you guys for all the support you gave me and I'm happy to say that I solved the problem by going back to Win XP
I think my PC wasn't compatible with Win 7 after all
Thanks for Everything
I don't recall you mentioning that you upgraded o.0

This will tell you if you are able to run WIN 7. Don't just give up when you encounter a problem. Especially when there are less than 15 posts in this thread! :D
Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor - Download - Microsoft Windows

Comparable to Win 7, xp is horrible. Win 7 is much better at fixing issues, but perhaps you are right when you say your hardware may not be compatable with Win 7. Have you downloaded all drivers?

Don't worry man I'll change to WIN 7 when I get new parts that is compatible with it
My PC is 5 years old or more my friend :) but it is still a good PC running all kinds of games. Anyway Thanks for Everything Mate
