I have a new computer with Windows 7. It is also a 64-bit which i havent had before either. The issue I am having isn't something I can't ignore but it is really puzzling and I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Randomly, I will be online and the window just disappears. Strangely you can see the outline and you can still type in it, etc. even though you cannot see what you are doing. As soon as it does this I move the mouse and instantly the window comes back. Anyone else have this experience?

Thanks.

Welcome Zoe!

This sounds like Aero Peek. In the lower-right corner, you will see a small button. If you click it, it will minimize all windows.

If you would like to disable that, right-click on the taskbar and hit Properties. You will see the option near the bottom.

Hope this helps,
~JK

As Jonathan has indicated, that is a feature that you paid for and not a problem. Jonathan, indicated that you can turn it off or or and he is correct. I suggest that you leave it on. I know I like the feature. On my desktop I have gadgets. One gadget is the temperature and another shows the computer cpu/memory usage. Occasionally, I am online and I want to know about memory usage or know what the temperature is etc. It is so easy just to put the cursor on that little box and see all the information.

There is no right or wrong, of course. You are free to turn the feature off or to use it. Either way, I hope that you are enjoying, in my opinion, the greatest OS in the market today. Have fun and enjoy.

What they said.
I think your moving your cursor over the small square in the bottom right corner next to the clock.

If you hover over it the windows that are open on the desktop "turn to glass" so you can still see the outlines of the windows but you can see the desktop background through those glass windows, pull the cursor back off and it goes back to normal.
and as they said, press it and it minimises all open windows.
