Hey all. I got a new laptop and it uses windows 10. My goodness things on windows 10 is a lot different than 7 and not in a good way.

First off, i tried to connect external Monitor to it. It connects without an issue. With my windows 7 laptop, i use my 24' external monitor as my main display and the laptop screen as the other one. Most of the time, everything is on the main display with nothing on the other screen.

My issue is I can do this... except if i want to drag something to the laptop screen... the laptop is on the left side of the desk, the monitor is on the right, i have to drag it to the right which is the complete opposite of what i want. I could fix this on windows 7 easily which i recall switching the 1 and 2 box. Im having tons of issues with this on this new laptop with windows 10. I did a lot of trial and error and can't fix this. I know its extend display and trial and error doesn't work. The other thing is if you look at the laptop screen, why are there icons and everything else in the taskbar? There should be none of that on the 2nd monitor. So why is it there?

The other thing is there is absolute no sound on my external monitor which is my primary monitor. I could fix this on windows 7 very easily. I have no idea how to with this.

Also when i click on a picture, with windows 7, you could just use the scroll mouse on the mouse to get a larger image of the picture. On windows 10, all that does is go to the next picture etc. Thus only way to zoom in on the current picture is pressing the button on the bottom right.

Can someone tell me how to fix these issues? I know windows 10 is a lot different from 7 but wow changes like this are very frustrating.

windows key + P

Doesn't the windows key + P allow you to toggle through display options? And I believe if you right click on the desktop and select Display settings/Advanced Display Settings will get you where you need to be to switch screen orientation.

Could be wrong.

Dag.

ps this is the Windows 7 forum not Windows 10, just saying:D

hi there yes that windows + P allows you to display options. My issue is i have to move the mouse to the right and not the left and my laptop is my on the left side on my desk. Does that make sense? I want to have to move the mouse to the left to get to the laptop screen. This has to do with that box 1 and box 2 thing but i can't figure it out on windows 10.

Also the taskbar is there on the laptop screen which is not suppose to be there.

And also... no sound at all.

Can you just go to settings then "display" and grab one of the monitors, under customize your display, and move it to the other side. Once you see it, it will become clear

Hi there thanks that worked. I couldn't move it around earlier for some reason. I got the taskbar icons on the laptop fixed as well.

One other thing. Is there any option for Aeros? Or that windows 7 wallpaper? I liked it a lot... its like glass etc. Is there a way to get this on windows 10?

Also there is another issue that is annoying. When i click on a picture and want to zoom in, you have to press the button on the bottom right that is like a plus sign. If i just use my mouse scroll button, instead of zooming in, it goes to the next picture. Is there a way to fix this issue?
