Yesterday, I noticed an error which never appeared before and that was the battery replacement error. The error was "There is a problem with your battery and your computer might shut down suddenly, consider replacing your battery". I searched on the internet but there was no clear explanation so I decided to figure out the problem by myself. I figured out that the problem was allowing a program through the windows firewall.
The thing is that it is a bug in windows 7. It can mostly arise due to 1 of the following reasons

1) Antivirus
2) Allowing a program through firewall
3) Installing a program (In my case it appeared because of Directx installation from microsoft website!)
4) changes to registry.

These are the most common causes I found on the internet and after experiencing this problem.

The solution to this is Microsoft System restore and it is the only solution that worked out. So if any of you have experienced this problem and you believe that your battery is new, just restore it because it is the way of reverting the changes you made.

hope this helps

Is this the CMOS battery or do you have a laptop/notebook with a battery? You system specification does not make it clear what sort of PC you have!
