Hey guys I just built my first system and everything was running great. I used the trial version of Windows 8 64 bit for about a week as I had to wait for my windows 7 to arrive. On windows 8 everything ran great with no issues. Then I installed windows 7 and ever since then when ever I leave my system alone for about an hour or two I'll come back to see that it has crashed because of the following error message below. I can use my computer all day gaming, video editing, etc. but when I close everything and leave for an hour I come back to see that i has crashed. I try to leave it on over night to install my steam games but always crashes after about an hour.

Any help would be great.

All the dumps point towards the Intel RST (Rapid Storage Technology) driver.

Turn off RAID in BIOS. Go to the Device Manager, locate the any Intel RST (should be under Storage Controllers) and uninstall the device(s). Now restart the computer. At restart, windows will auto configure the appropriate system driver, msahci.sys.

If that doesn't fix the problem you should run a TDSS rootkit scan

Thanks for the reply, I uninstalled Intel RST and ran Kaspersky which did not find anything so now I will just wait and see. Thanks again for your help.
