windows 7 build 7601 even after geniune activation? help?

never had this problem before, this is the 4th time formatting my computer (not because of virus) it still gives me the build 7601 even after the genunie activation and all windows updates.

help!

i should mention i never got any message saying i need to activate windows as i already did and the background wallpaper isn't black. i can change it to anything. but the message is still there!

That sounds very odd - there is absolutely nothing amiss in teh report that I can see.
