Hello! I just installed fresh windows 7 32 bit sp1 and when i check for updates it checks for updates and never stops. It says checking for updates with the green line going back and forth, but never gets any results and svchost.exe using up almost all my available memory. Anyone got any ideas what would the problem be and how to fix it ?

You need to be patient!
Some isers have reported that they had to leave it searching for 24 hrs before it finished.
One of the updates is one which speeds the process up.

Yes, it works fine, finally, but one of my computers had an issue with WMI service after the update, and only after fixing WMI computer started working properly. Both Windows update and WMI run from the same service host, and it is confusing.
