Hello all.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to change the windows 7 start button icon. I want to change it from the windows xp logo to a win98 windows logo.

I don't use the Windows 7 Aero theme. I use the Windows classic theme, and I would like to change icon on the start menu to the Windows 98 style windows logo rather than the Windows XP logo. Here is a picture for reference.

The little windows XP log I want to go...

Thank you,

Jason

Use this tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/73191-icons-change-using-resource-hacker.html will show you how to use Resource Hacker just use ShellBrd.dll Bitmap #104 instead.

Do you remember how you did that? I made a 16x16 bmp and edited shellbrd.dll and replaced the 1041 bmp with it but it didn't work and the whole thing disappeared so now it just looks like this:
