Windows 7 compatability

I have Windows 7 and XP running on same machine, different drives. XP recognises all devices but Windows 7 cannot see my HP Deskjet DJ1460 printer and Xerox One-Touch Snanner 4800. Can anyone help, as I have installed the very latest HP driver foor Windows 7.

Good morning Bill, welcome to the windows 7 support forum.
Your issue suggests an incomplete installation on Windows 7.
I suggest the following.

• Disconnect/remove the printer from your pc.
• Remove/un-install any HP software from your system.
• Reboot your system back into Windows 7
• Reconnect your printer and Windows should detect new hardware/printer
• After Windows 7 installs the printer run a test print.

Incompatability?

Thank you for your welcome suggestions, unfortunately they did not work. This was because, after a bit more fiddling I decided to try another device to the USB port and found that it didn't work either. The port is one of 4 on a PCI card. Plugging my 2 non-recognised devices into my Mainboard USB ports gave instant recognition. Problem solved.
