Windows 7 does not recognize HP LaserJet 1020

Got it done. The printer driver and spooler were too goofed up to recover/delete/fix/find/repair/reinstall, so I backed everything up and ran the system restore to a point 2 weeks ago. Worked like a charm. Spooler is back, the printer dirvers are where they ought to be, and all is well. Took 30 mins, including the backing up (which I didn't need afterwards, but just in case....).

I take that back....HP sacked

Didn't last. I am selling my 2 HP printers (1020 and 1012) and bought a Brother HL-2270DW. Works great. HP management has done a fine job of driving this customer away by not supporting their equipment. The 1012 is not supported in Windows 7 and the 1020 software messes everything up.
