Ok so when shutting down my computer it seems to hang at shutting down for ages (time changes) and then I get a BSOD and it says DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE. It also does this randomly when not shutting down.

I have a Dell XPS, Core i5 (2.4ghz), 6Gigs of RAm, running a legal copy of Windows 7 Home Edition (64bit).

Its fully updated and have previously done a reinstall.

Music also gets stuck in between sometimes

I have attached zip file required for analysis

Anything would be helpfull.

I have updated all my drivers . Both errors are the same 0x0000009F: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
A driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state. Typically occurs during events that involve power state transitions, such as shutting down, or moving into or out of standby or hibernate mode.

Both cite the same driver NETwNs64.sys as the cause of your system crashes. This driver belongs to your Intel Wireless WiFi Link Adapter.

I have 14.2.1.1 version of this

For checking this i went to C:/Windows/system32/Drivers/NETwNs64.sys

Please help me !!!!

well the moment i click uninstall to uninstall the driver it goes to "not responding" state.

After that i click Ctrl Alt Del and end that program

Then i visit that thing again and this time instead of uninstall it shows install . Does this mean it has been uninstalled?

Cant i directly run this exe file . Wont it automatically update the driver is it necessary to delete the existing driver first ?

It sounds like your existing driver is corrupted. That is why the uninstall is recommended. When they do not cleanly uninstall, this is further evidence of the drivers being corrupted. You may have to uninstall in http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/69585-safe-mode.html and then try installing in Safe Mode.

If you cannot install in Safe Mode, restart into Normal Mode and install the updated drivers after Windows has re-installed the drivers.

It did not show any integrity violations after the first run .

One more thing I went into Safe mode to uninstall that 1030 driver. After that in safe mode itself i tried installing the downloaded driver but an error came regarding some installation not permitted. So i switched back to normal mode and tried installing that downloaded driver after which that 1722 Error came up.

Also when i went back to Device Manager--->Network Adapters i see Inter 1030 Driver being showed up again

After i have uninstalled it it should get displayed ryt?

Windows will install it on startup. That was one of the things I was worried about. Can you now uninstall it and delete the driver software via the check box in normal mode without it becoming unresponsive?

No, don't restart this time. Just run the update installer and then see how the system responds. I guess ignore the error you get at the end for now...
