For me personally, I use D for my CD DVD, so E or G or H?

Those of us who work in the Install forum trenches often request a screenshot which can reveal all quickly.

This is for everyone who is helping to read and consult upon, not just the person requesting it.

We are a team here so I was only attempting teamwork. I apologize if I upset anyone. You are in good hands with Iseeuu, who has helped me learn a lot.

Hi Iseeuu, Ok so far it is good and I was able to install Win 7 without a problem and can boot into Win 7 just fine but my only problem now is when I boot into Win XP it is giving me an error saying to put in the XP disk because there is a problem with /ntldr so can I do this without messing up the Win 7 OS? Thanks King64 I will look at your link as soon as I install my Acrobat.

Hi,you get an bootup error, when you try to startup up XP,because the files NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM are missing,if you execute those command lines on the PDF file, you'll be fine to go,if after this command lines the problem continues, the solution is,go into the bios by SATA options and change your HDD to IDE or ATA option and you r ready to startup every sistem you have on your computer.
Cheers.

OK I have assigned XP a letter and it now shows up in my computer. King64 I am not sure what you mean by "if you execute those command lines on the PDF file" so if you could explain this I will try it and hopefully it works? Thanks again to all of you for the help. Rob

Ok!!Lets do it,follow this steps one by one:

1. click on start button
2. click on all programs
3. open acessoires on the list menu
4. right click on command prompt and run as administrator
5. on the DOS black box you gonna type the following command lines one by one hiting enter each time.

COMMAND LINES

1. bcdedit /create {ntldr} /d "Windows XP"

2. bcdedit /set {ntldr} device partition=G:

3. bcdedit /set {ntldr} path \ntldr

4. bcdedit /displayorder {ntldr} /addlast

After entering all those command lines get out of the DOS box
and restart your pc,that's all.

Note: i put already the drive letter of your xp partition i saw on your screenshot you post here,if you want copy is more faster then typing, just hilight the command lines one by one, press CTRL+C just one time,on the border of your DOS box right click the mouse and point to EDIT,then opens other small menu and you just click on PASTE,and the command line will be into the DOS box copied, and so do you with all command lines hiting ENTER each time.
Dont be afraid just do it so and you'll get the dualboot WINDOWS_7_WINDOWS_XP.
Cheers.
