Hi all,

First post here and not sure if this is the right forum. (crossing fingers)!

It seems that the first Monday of the month, my system resets back to the date that MS pushed out IE9 to my PC and installed. This brings back the 'old' desktop and settings.

Each time this happens, I have to reinstall my printer & set to default, reactivate various program icons, etc.

This is becoming very tiresome as today was the 3rd time this happened.

I am in hopes that there is a GURU out there that can advise on a solution to this.

Many Thanks in advance!

Do you keep installing IE9 ? It won`t install unless you want it too. Change your update settings to check for updates but let me choose whether to install them. Check for updates and this time hide the IE9 update. Right click on the update to hide it. Wait and see if it reverts again.

In my opinion there is no reason to install IE9.

The 'restore' point appears to be just after IE9 was installed. I am prompted to set IE9 preferences as soon as I launch IE. I am not asked to install each time this occurs. [frustrated].....

Have you tried restoring to a point previous to the one causing issues?

Thanks! Tried that once the first time this happened, but it happened again. Just need to find out how to stop this from happening.... :)
