Windows 7 isn't recognizing my mic..

Despite the fact that the mic isn't broken, try another mike.

No, what I mean is I already tested it and its not broken. In the OP i mentioned I tested two other mics on my computer and neither of them work. They all work on another computer though so I can rule out the mics as defective. In addition, if I unmute the mic under playback device>speakers>properties>levels it picks up sound however that doesn't help other people hear the sound unfortunately and I can just hear myself.
