I was unsure if this is the correct forum but the mouse driver for Windows 7 is my main issue.

After successfully installing Windows 10 pro on an adjacent partition and setting up the Windows 10 dual boot manager, the mouse stops working in Windows 7. It actually disappears from the device list. I have been struggling with this for over a week and here are my actions:
· Did a full chkdsk /r...C:\ drive no problems found.
· Did sfc /scannow(as admin)...no bad files found.
· Ran AVG-IS deep scan...no threats found.
· Ran Malwarebytes full scan...no threats found.
· Booted into Safe Mode and reinstalled driver for mouse...all working properly in properties.
· Discovered there were no restore points to go back to, restore had been disabled.
· Disabled device signiture in Windows 7 boot options.
· Tried all other USB ports and changed the mouse out physically, no change.
· Disabled fastboot in the UEFI BIOS...no change.
· Disabled fast startup in Windows 10...no change.
I do have a Windows Image BU as last resort but many of the applications will be lost and I am not sure the restore will work since I re-partitioned the C: drive to make room for Windows 10. Can anyone offer a better solution?
