Does it give an error, and your sure its 7 PRO? So you have set the DNS for the affected machine to the server correct (wasn't sure if you did it to client or server)?

try setting your ip of the machine to one you know will resolve in the domain (not used or out of range), make dns1 your controller's IP, dns2 8.8.8.8 (googles dns for fallback) and make sure your gateway is router/dmark.

No luck...
My domain ip address is 192.168.4.10 and firewall ip is 192.168.4.2 (router is behind the firewall)
So i tried with 192.168.4.15
255.255.255.0
192.168.4.2(gateway)
192.168.4.1 (DNS1)
8.8.8.8 (DNS2)

DNS1 should be 192.168.4.10 then in that scenario if the server is your domain controller. Your server has the DNS role correct?

The primary DNS server IP address should be set to the IP address of the domain controller, providing the domain controller is running the DNS service (it most-likely is).

In an Active Directory domain clients always look for a domain controller with DNS, even when it is in the same subnet. It is thus essential that the client be configured to use the domain DNS server. Often this will be the domain controller but on larger networks it may not be.

Intresting, if I may ask what entries did you need? Glad you got it sorted.
