I am on FIOS 35/35 plan.

On my Vista - Download 34Mb/s, Upload 38 Mb/s.

On my Windows 7 - Download 34Mb/s, Upload 3Mb/s.

FIOS tech said the problem is SendBufferSize, They (Verizon) did not have a resolution at this time. How do you change this in Windows 7?

I have already installed FIOS Optimizer. Ive tried speedguide.net advice, same results.

If you can get from verizon the correct value for "sendBufferSize" you can use regedit to modify or insert the value.. Any idea what it should be?

I have this exact same problem with windows 7. My sendbuffersize is set to 8192...The tech said his was 64512

I would try to change it myself, but I am not sure what the path to change this is. I was under the impression that Windows 7 tci/ip stack was already optimized, and this was not needed.

If anyone has any idea how to change it I would try it.
