Solved Windows 7 popup not genuine, error 0x8004fe22

It sure looks fixed to me! ;)

When you get a chance, confirm it by going to www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate using Internet Explorer - it should pass.
If it doesn't pass, post back with another MGADiag report, and we'll work on it.

You are absolutely a star, Noel! Thank you soooo much. I feel like I definitely owe you a drink here!

It's been 3 days, and I haven't seen the annoying pop-up since, and the microsoft validation website has given a big fat 'Genuine' message, and that's too damn right, because of course it's 110% genuine! LOL

Just curious, any ideas what might have caused this issue? Just try to avoid it in the future if possible.

This type of thing can simply be a small random corruption - perhaps one character changes to another which the registry can't actually read, so deletes the value instead.

Glad it's fixed for you now!

Good luck

Exact same problem as JakePC

Having the same problem as JakePC i used the line ''REG QUERY HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\sppuinotify'' in command prompt, and received the exact same answer as Jake. So his solution was adding ''the jpcaa.zip'' provided by NoelDP. I thought i finally found the solution for my windows not genuine problem, but the file is no longer in Noel's drive. Could either of you, or someone else be so kind to (re)upload the zip file so i can solve my problem too.

Kind regard,

WuLong

Please start a new thread of your own, and post the MGADiag report, then I'll work out (hopefully) what else may be required.
