Hi, I recently corrupted my Windows data on my HP Probook 4445s when I was trying to dual-boot Ubuntu. I accidentally formatted a partition after which I am unable to start Windows.

I created a System Repair Disk from my other laptop which has the exact same OS (win 7 64 pro, sp1) and after it showed that the disk was successfully burned, I tried booting with it in my HP laptop.

However, even after changing BIOS settings to boot from CD/DVD I am unable to get it working as no matter which options I try, I get the following error message:

"Bootmgr missing. Press Ctrl+alt+delete to restart"

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I created only a recovery disc not a full installation disc. It does work because I tested it in another pc but it seems unable to repair my broken os.

I am now downloading the 3.1gb iso file. hope it will work.
