I purchased W7 Pro 64-bit version from Digital River (Student Edition for $39.99) - I got the confirmation with the download information and I downloaded one single file called "DLMWin7Pro64CAen.exe" which is just 347KB! I understand it is an Installer file. How do I download the rest of the files ? Everyone else seem to have downloaded 3 files!

Has anybody else received just a single file like me? How did you get the entire OS so that I can burn a DVD and keep it?

Your help is much appreciated.

No I haven't. First of all, I want to clarify the issue of number of files, before proceeding.

All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.
I believe that file starts to download the installation when you run it.

DLM would normally stand for "DownLoad Manager".

I'd expect you run that file and it manages your download for you. That way you can resume later if necessary, etc.

I think that you are borrowing trouble... this sounds like a loader, and you'll never know until you run it... You could always contact DR if you are really concerned.. ;)

It's the download manager. It'll download the files for you. Which is what the site tells you when you download the file...

Glad you are not. But if the answer was obvious, it would have been easier to say it rather than pollute the thread with reference to drugs. Now, it is time to maintain the sanctity of the forum so back off and let others in, Pal!
No offense ever meant from my side.

Thank you for the reply. I did research DR site prior to posting, but missed it and hence my post. Can you post the URL of this particular answer in DR please?

Thanks for confirming what a few of us suspected to be the case.
