Windows 7 Ultimate installation on LG External HDD~

Hello, I'm new here I'm from Philippines, and I'm 19 years old. I just wanna know how to install Windows 7 Ultimate on my External HDD. First, I tried installing it but it prompts a warning message about BIOS or something I can't remember. Can anyone teach me or advice me what to do? My PC's OS now is Windows 7 Home Basic 32-bit, and I have a 2 GB RAM, and I don't have a video card. So, what should I do? I want to install Ultimate on my External HDD if possible. Hoping for your kind advice and teachings.

Win7 cannot be installed to an external HD.

Your best approach if you want to upgrade from Win7 basic is to use Windows Anytime Upgrade - How to - Windows 7 Forums which unlocks the few extra expensive features when you insert the Product Key.

Where did you get the Ultimate Product Key? Is it retail or Anytime Upgrade?
