Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Windows Update Error 8007370B

Hello,

I am unable to get Windows Update to function properly on my computer. Each time I run Windows Update I get "An error occured while checking for new updates for your computer." The error code is 8007370B.

I attempted to reset my Windows Update to it doesn't have any update history. I also run the System Update Readyness Tool, along with sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt which resulted with the following: Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.

I have uploaded my logs as well as my components file as I have noticed that file tends to be an issue with many Windows Update issues to: https://www.box.com/s/d437e3hzh7c6qr4eq0mj

Any help in resolving this issue would be appreciated.

Can you rename your COMPONENTS hive to components.old, then put the repaired hive in its place please: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16537616/Fixes/COMPONENTS/wickid/components.zip

If you get any errors renaming the file, reboot and try again.

Thank you so much for the quick resonse and for the corrected components file! I renamed my old one and placed the modified one in it's place, rebooted and Windows Update is functioning again and sfc /scannow no longer throws the error.

I really appreciate your help on getting this resolved!
