Windows 7 Vertical Lines on Desktop Monitor

Dear all,

I have a peculiar issue with my Dell Desktop with an ATI 3200 GPU.

When I boot the system there are fuzzy vertical lines (approx 1cm across) on the screen.

If I change the resolution (preferred is 1600x900) to a lower resolution, and then back again - the screen is normal without any faint lines and continues this way till I again reboot the machine.

Have tried 4 different versions of the driver (from Dell & AMD) and the issue remains.

Any ideas?

Hi I would start by trying another monitor. Try another cable. If your graphic card is separate from motherboard and motherboard has video output try hooking monitor to it see if same thing happens.
