Windows 7 with Firefox hanging a lot

Happens almost every day lately, usually when I'm in Yahoo Mail. I close the browser, but Firefox is still running in Task Manager. I have to manually shut it down from TM. I have Firefox 106.0.5.

What I have done so far that doesn't help:

clear Yahoo cookies
clear history
defrag

I got same problem often these days. had to re-start.

My PC is Windows 7 Pro GPT x64. did re-install FF. but the problem stays, I was guessing it's related to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe
or
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe

(on my PC, Firefox Installerx64.exe can go either folder. and I have no idea why. no way to control.)
