Windows 7 won't boot

Might want to run a hard drive diagnostic . Before you install Windows . No point installing Windows on a faulty drive .

What were the results of the HD diagnostics tests you were advised to run three days ago? We never heard back. If you skipped it then I would test the HD now.

You need to create a New partition in the Unallocated space once all partitions are deleted, which will also recreate the System Reserved partition - just ignore it. But you need to confirm your HD first.

In spite of the Disk Check results, it is best now to also test the HD surface condition using the maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan. If there isn't one you can use the CD for Partition Wizard Partition surface test. Hiren’s BootCD 15.1 also has many of the maker's diagnostics bootable scans as well as Partition Wizard. You can also run Hiren's BootCD From USB Flash Drive (Pen Drive) » www.hiren.info

Ok, got it done.

Thing is, it won't detect internet now. I have a linksys router that, prior to the wipe, my laptop would automatically detect. Now, it doesn't detect it at all. How do i fix this? i've tried just about every troubleshooting thing there is, but my laptop still won't pick it up. So, what do i do? i have the disk that came with the router, but i don't see why i should need it. Before, wiFi automatically worked.

Supposedly, on reinstall, it's supposed to ask you about network options...did not ask me anything like that

Not only that, but evidently my Product Key was wrong, so i just skipped it (going to call Samsung about it), but when i look, it says "3 days until automatic activation". What does that mean?

EDIT: Well, I'm screwed. The Product Key and serial number for the PC itself have long since worn away on my PC, so i don't think i have anyway of obtaining a new product key other than spending the small fortune to re-buy w7

I've pushed that. Appears to do nothing. In fact, upon experimenting, my fn+___ functions no longer do anything at all

Yeah, it was just taking a long time.

Now I just have one called "unallocated space". Will I have to create a new one? It says i can't install windows to the "unallocated space" one...I think that's a really bad sign, huh? when i click "show details" it says the disk may fail soon?? But i don't see how that's possible, every check i've run on the disk says no problems?

This whole thing is just an endless string of bullsh*t

i managed to get a program and got my product key. So now when i try to "Activate Windows" with it, it says it appears to be a default product key and therefore cannot be used for activation and to use a different product key? What?

And, i still can't figure out my internet stuff, or my function key problems

A) Then why did it tell me the disk had no problems
B) that would affect my keyboard?

Ok, the only things with yellow triangle/!'s are Intel Centrino AdvancedN + WiMax 6250; Network Controller; PCI simple communications controller

I realize these maybe the issue. However, the only option i see that may remedy the situation, is "update drivers", but how can i do that without internet access.

Go to the manufacturers website and download them. Use the computer you`re using to talk to us.

Then put the drivers on a flashdrive if you`ve got 1.
