Windows 7 won't load- screen flickers on and off

I have an HP Touch Smart and everything was ok until this morning. When the computer gets to the blue Windows 7 screen it just flickers and never loads. Tried it in safe mode and it does same thing but the flicker is much slower. Help! Thanks!

Same here Issue seems to be KB 3097877 only way to access pc is via rdp, but I dont have RDP enabled on mine with the issue, and can't remote enable like I have in the past

I turned off the computer and then restarted and hit F11 and did a system restore and restored back 2 weeks. It worked!!!!

Same problem

I am having the same problem with a HP touch smart. No login prompt at start up and screen flickers. I have no restore points to go to. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
