First by loading the SP1 update then restarting your computer then all of a sudden the screen goes black, and there is a message that states, "YOUR COMPUTER IS RUNNING A ILLEGAL VERSION OF WINDOWS 7 IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO USE YOUR COMPUTER PLEASE GO DOWN TO YOUR LOCAL COMPUTER OUTLET AND BUY A COPY OF WINDOWS 7. I still think a lot of people have missed THREE very salient points.

3) You might not want to have an Internet connected machine for all sorts of reasons at home for instance -- especially say with young children when you are away from home --there's no reason why say a young 5 or 6 year old can't use a computer for their homework like learning simple spreadsheets etc when you are away -- but I'd certainly like to be around when they use the Internet.

Well, apparently there are so many Activation Problems that the volume crashed the microsoft servers that deal with Activation! [today, as of 1pm CDT... and they say it will be an hour or so....]

Question: i have a mass-install license. I have my license key, but after moving to a new big hard drive it won't activate, no way/ no how. I get a digital Product ID with the right number of fields and everything. Is there a way I can convert that to my real COA License Key?

just read through all the updates info in windows update, find which one it is, uncheck it, and hide the update. no problem at all. its not required. f'in MicroSpy!!!
