Hello guys

When i bought my comuter it was without any operating system to save some money, because i had my own windows 7 32 bit. I installed it and everything worked, except that the computer could not detect any wireless network adapter. Luckily i had a friend who's brother could help me. Unfortunately i do not know how or what he did, but some how he managed to make it work.

But a few months later i wanted to upgrade my 32 bit to 64, since i could only use 3,16 GB ram, and my computer has 8GB. So i bought a win 7 home premium 64 bit and installed it. Now i face the same problem, my computer can not detect any wireless network adapter, though i'm 99% sure that my computer has one.

I hope you guys can help me, because this is really freaking me out. Especially because this is my school computer and without any internet acces i can't participate in class.

Go to 'device manager' right click the missing driver, select properties, click the details tab, Select Hardware IDs from the property drop down, right click on the first value, select copy and post it here, should look something like this: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_84321043&REV_06

Thanks

Should Still show up in device manager as a :warn:unknown device if its missing its drivers otherwise you don't have a wireless adapter connected or its already installed.

Can you post an image of your device manager?

Thanks

I downloaded the file, extracted it and then installed the new driver. But for some reason it doesn't appear in device manger?

Has the Network Controller still got the :warn: next to it?

Make a new folder on your desktop, Unpack the file to that folder.
Go to device manager select the Network Controller, right click, select 'update driver software' Select Browse my Computer, then browse to the folder you just created on the desktop and select the x64 folder, click next.

Thanks

The Network Controller does still have the Warning icon next to it.

And if i manually try to open device manager and select "update driver software", browse to the folder i made and select the x64 doesn't work. It says" Windows was unable to install your Network Controller"

Hi Anthony

I just wanted to say thanks for trying to help me out :)

And you were right about how this problems should get fixed. The problem was, that the driver you linked me somehow didn't work. So i did some research and luckily i found the driver software i needed.
So know my wireless network works just perfect

Thanks again!!

Go to device manager right click on the missing driver > properties > details tab > select hardware ids from the drop down > right click the first value > copy and paste them here. Should look something like this : USB\VID_0C45&PID_60C0&REV_0101&MI_00

Thanks
