Windows cannot search for updates, error 800B0100

When I try to update, and when I tried to install a standalone download of Win7 SP1, it always displays the error code 800B0100. I need help! I'm stumped. Ran CheckSUR and the results are in CBS.zip (attached). HP Pavillion Win 7 Ultimate 32bit.

FYI: This is a "hand-me-down" computer that is a few years old. Got it for free though, so can't argue with that. This is the only issue I'm having with it. I say that to say this -- it has an upgraded OS (came with Vista), but I don't have the Win 7 disks. Not sure any of that is relevant, but hey, you never know.
