Ok, so I've been working on this guys computer for 2 days now all day. I have read many forums and followed many different things but to no avail. The computer came to me going slow, internet explorer would crash so often, it would redo windows updates on shutdown everytime (so those were not taking), and it would go to start up repair when turned on from shut down but not from a restart. The guy asked me to restore for him. So I used the factory image restore. That did not fix the problem. I read some forums and decided to run tdsskiller. It found some malware and removed it. After that windows will not even start. It goes straight to startup repair and then says no solutions were found. In which that keeps me from getting to the desktop. I have tried to restore to earlier time, but didn't work. I tried boot repair from command and didn't work. I tried a repair disk that I found online and made onto a disk but that didn't work. I am out of ideas and running dry on information on the web. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also the guy can't find the recovery disk that came with the computer, which makes my job lovely. It is a Dell Studio running windows 7 home premium x64.
